The goal of the Federal Programs Department is to assist in providing educational excellence for students in the Newton County School System by directing the implementation of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, Title I, Part A Programs for Disadvantaged Children, Title I D Prevention and Education programs for Children and Youth who are Neglected, Delinquent, or At-Risk, and Title I Part C McKinney-Vento Assistance Act-Education for Homeless Children and Youth.�

Parent Resource Room


Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to share that our Parent Resource Room is open and located in Room 33. This space is available to support families by providing helpful materials and resources to assist you in supporting your child/children at home. You are warmly welcomed to stop by, explore the available resources, and check out materials that may be useful for your family. Our goal is to partner with you and provide tools that strengthen learning, development, and overall success. If you have any questions or would like help selecting resources, please feel free to reach out  to us. We look forward to seeing you!

Parent Resource Room Policy

Parent Resource Room Checkout Policy

To ensure that all families have fair access to materials, please review the following checkout policy:

  • Eligibility: All parents and guardians are welcome to check out materials from the Parent Resource Room.
  • Checkout Period: Materials may be checked out for a period of two (2) weeks.
  • Sign-Out Process: All items must be signed out at the time of checkout, including the date and contact information.
  • Returns: Materials must be returned by the due date so they can be made available to other families.
  • Extensions: If additional time is needed, please contact the Mrs. Daughtry or Ms. Taylor before the due date to request an extension.
  • Care of Materials: Families are responsible for returning materials in good condition. Please notify Mrs. Daughtry or Ms. Taylor if an item is damaged or lost.
  • Late or Unreturned Items: Repeated late returns may limit future checkout privileges.
